When we see people through the Lord’s eyes, we will love them like He loves them.
We will be joyful, not jealous.
Rejoice with people in their times of success instead of becoming bitter because we’re not the one succeeding.
We will complement, not compete.
Complement others instead of feeling the need to compete with them.
We will be compassionate, not cruel.
Truly care for others in their season of hardship instead of having hidden happiness that they’re facing difficulty.
We will build up, not tear down.
Encourage others to keep moving forward in God instead of making them feel like failures.
We will believe the best, not think the worst.
Keep a positive outlook, don’t make negative assumptions or jump to conclusions.
We will be kingdom minded, not self-absorbed.
Do whatever we can to work together in unity to further the kingdom of God, not to further ourselves.
We have to always remember that it’s not about us: Me, Myself and I.
It’s about how we can glorify, honor and love God in every relationship & friendship the Lord gives us.
When we start focusing on ourselves and our desires then our attention is no longer on the One who matters most.
Our selfish desires only lead us down the path of destruction.
When our heart’s desire is to please God and not self, then we will be on the path that leads to everlasting life.
So…how is your vision?
Scriptures to remember:
1 Cor 13:4-13-
Love is kind and patient,
never jealous, boastful, proud, or rude.
Love isn’t selfish or quick tempered.
It doesn’t keep a record of wrongs that others do.
Love rejoices in the truth, but not in evil.
Love is always supportive, loyal, hopeful, and trusting.
Love never fails!
James 3:17-18-
Real wisdom, God’s wisdom, begins with a holy life and is characterized by getting along with others.
It is gentle and reasonable, overflowing with mercy and blessings, not hot one day and cold the next, not two-faced.
You can develop a healthy, robust community that lives right with God and enjoy its results only if you do the hard work of getting along with each other, treating each other with dignity and honor.
Romans 12:9-17-
Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.
Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.
Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.
Be joyful in hope, Be patient in affliction, Be faithful in prayer.
Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
Bless those who persecute you;Â bless and do not curse.
Rejoice with those who rejoice;Â Mourn with those who mourn.
Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position.
Do not be conceited. Do not repay anyone evil for evil.
Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone.
If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
Â
Proverbs 17:9-
He that covers over a transgression seeks love; but he that repeats a matter separates close friends.
John 10:10-
The thief comes to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
